Blurb:
Crystal has spent her entire life training to be a thief in order to find evidence against the man who had her parents murdered. In her pursuit of justice she's had to give up her identity, her name, and any chance at love. When Crystal is forced on a blind date with the cop who is investigating her, she plays a dangerous game of hearts that could land her in a prison cell.

Kade is in search of a new life, after losing his partner. He's taken a new job, in a new city, and met a new girl. In order to keep his fresh start, he will have to catch an elusive thief targeting one of the largest corporations in the country. Desperate to forget the failures of his past, Kade has no intention of failing.
But secrets can’t be hidden forever.

Crystal and Ruby are twin sisters looking for revenge after an evil tyrant murdered their parents. They’re determined to find the evidence to bring him down, even if they have break the law to do it. They’ve been trained as thieves since the age of 9 by their uncles, now the end is in sight and they can finally bring down the company that ruined their lives…

That is until Ruby and her fiancĂ© Paul set Crystal up on a blind date with his new partner Kade. Kade is a freelancing detective tasked to finding the culprit behind a string of robberies whilst trying to run for his past. I absolutely loved this storyline of cat and mouse, will she get away with it? Throughout the book there was this constant tension of will Crystal be caught? How can she possibly get away with this and date a cop? Crystal and Kade’s past soon creeps upon them as they can no longer hide who they really are.

The plot was amazing and was continuously filled with suspicion, mystery, tension and a forbidden romance. I was expecting a lot more romance and details but this was a slow burner and always left me wanting more. I really loved Crystal and Ruby’s determination to get justice for their family, they were really strong characters and from such a young age have changed their whole identity and have been living this lie ever since. The romance at times felt a little too insta and progressed at a much quicker rate than I usually like but I didn’t realize how invested I was in Crystal and Kade until the ending…. I was not a fan of it! I wanted and need more, more romance, more details and more Crystal and Kade.

I really enjoyed this book and I can’t wait for the second! This book is perfect for lovers of romance and mystery.
